In order to ensure the implementation of priority tasks identified during the dialogue “On additional opportunities to support youth initiatives”, held on February 24, 2026 under the leadership of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Thursday has been designated as “Youth Day”. Within the framework of this initiative, Tashkent State University of Economics hosted a “Leader and Youth” meeting with the participation of the leadership of the State Assets Management Agency, as well as a signing ceremony of a memorandum of mutual cooperation.
The event was held by Director of the State Assets Management Agency, Sohibjon Murodov, Rector of the university, Doctor of Economic Sciences, Professor Tulkin Teshabayev, as well as faculty members and students.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Head of Department of UzSAMA delivered a presentation on the organization’s activities, its key areas, and ongoing reforms. In particular, detailed information was provided on effective management of enterprises with state participation, privatization processes, and the introduction of corporate governance standards.
Following this, Director Sohibjon Murodov addressed the audience, emphasizing that supporting youth is one of the key priorities of state policy. He highlighted the importance of expanding practical cooperation with higher education institutions, training qualified professionals, and unlocking the potential of young people.
It was also noted that expanding opportunities for internships, traineeships, and participation in real projects would help effectively combine theoretical knowledge with practical skills. The Agency also places particular emphasis on supporting talented youth and creating conditions for their future employment.
During the event, Rector Tulkin Teshabayev also delivered remarks, highlighting the importance of strengthening the integration of education and practice, as well as the role of such cooperation in training modern specialists.
At the conclusion of the meeting, a memorandum of cooperation was signed between Tashkent State University of Economics and the State Assets Management Agency.
The document is aimed at improving the quality of training highly qualified personnel, expanding opportunities for student internships and traineeships, developing research activities, and strengthening the integration of education, science, and industry.
In addition, the memorandum provides for the development of cooperation in such areas as engaging students in internships, facilitating graduate employment, conducting joint research, as well as organizing seminars and meetings.
